An exciting opportunity for an experienced anaesthetic trainee to join a busy department providing anaesthetic services. This 6-month fixed-term position offers comprehensive support for portfolio development and clinical training across various specialties.
Job summary
This is a 6-month post, with the possibility to extend to 12 months and beyond if mutually agreeable. The post is suitable for an experienced anaesthetic trainee (ST4 equivalent and above) wishing to consolidate their experience in anaesthesia. Candidates must have completed their basic anaesthetic training and the Primary FRCA examination or equivalent from overseas. Completion of full FRCA or equivalent is desirable.
Main duties of the job
The post holder would join a busy department that provides anaesthetic services for multiple adult and paediatric surgical specialties and a busy labour ward. There is scope for moulding the position to a degree to match the particular interests of the successful applicant.
We are able to support portfolio development within both the training and portfolio (CESR) pathways and provide clinical training in general surgery, orthopaedics and trauma, paediatrics, regional anaesthesia, obstetrics, pain and intensive care amongst other areas of anaesthetic training as specified by the RCOA. We are able to provide comprehensive support of non-clinical domains of the anaesthetic curriculum.
