Job summary

Turner Property Recruitment is seeking a Client Side Building Surveyor to lead refurbishment and development projects for a prestigious national portfolio in London. You will oversee programmes, budgets and procurement, bringing commercial acumen to asset-level decisions and working closely with Asset Management teams.

Ideal candidates will have MRICS status, strong contract administration experience and a track record of successful multi-project delivery with a keen eye for risk and cost

Qualifications

• MRICS status or equivalent qualification.
• Proven project delivery and contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of commercial refurbishment and defect diagnosis.
• Experience managing budgets, costs and programmes.
• Understanding of CDM, Building Regulations, planning and Party Wall.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead refurbishment, repair and development projects from inception to handover.
• Manage programmes, budgets and cashflows.
• Prepare design, tender and contract documentation.
• Procure and appoint consultants, contractors and design teams.
• Monitor risks, costs, progress and change.
• Advise on defects, refurbishment strategies and asset-level decisions.
• Maintain audit-ready construction and project documentation.
• Communicate project risks and budget updates to stakeholders.
