Job summary

TPF Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced, qualified accountant to take ownership of an established client portfolio in Haywards Heath. This client-focused role concentrates on delivering proactive service, managing accounts and tax compliance with no formal line management duties.

The role offers a modern office, flexible hybrid work after an initial onboarding period, and a clear path to long-term stability with strong earning potential through a £60,000+ salary and a 4% portfolio bonus.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Experience in accountancy practice at a senior level.
• Experience managing a portfolio and overseeing accounts.
• Strong client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an established client portfolio (~180–200 clients) and be the main point of contact.
• Deliver accounts, tax compliance work and advisory support on deadlines.
• Coordinate with wider team to ensure consistent client service and quality.
• Proactively manage deadlines, expectations and opportunities to grow the portfolio.
• Liaise with Partners to ensure smooth portfolio operation and client satisfaction.
• Maintain high professional standards and technical quality in all work.
