How does this role contribute to our collective success?

This role contributes to AXIS’ collective success through maintaining and promoting a market-leading claims service to support clients’ complex risks and challenges, supporting the retention and acquisition of business.

What will you do in this role?
  • Handle professional negligence claims, as well as claims for other liability classes, for a wide variety of professions and commercial clients written in the Professional Lines Division, reporting to the PI Claims Lead.
  • Work closely with clients, market leaders, brokers, TPA service providers, and legal advisors to ensure a premier claims service.
  • Manage claims from initial advice to final settlement, including coverage analysis, reserve evaluations, resolution strategy, and liaising with risk managers, in-house counsel, and experts.
  • Handle Lloyd’s Syndicate, IUA, and company claims.
  • Coordinate with underwriters on policy issues, provide claims information, and attend client meetings as needed.

What you need to have:
  • Experience in dealing with Professional Indemnity claims, either in a claims lead or legal advisory capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
What we prefer you to have:
  • Experience working in a syndicate, company, or brokerage.
  • Knowledge of CLASS/ECF2.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Legal or professional qualification such as ACII.
Role Factors:

Typically, you will be required to work in the office 3 days per week.
