How does this role contribute to our collective success?

This role contributes to AXIS’ success by maintaining a market-leading claims service that supports clients’ complex risks, aiding in business retention and acquisition.

What will you do in this role?

• Handle personal injury and property damage claims, as well as other liability claims, for various professions and commercial clients in the Professional Lines Division, reporting to the PI & Liability Claims Manager.
• Collaborate with clients, market leaders, brokers, TPA service providers, and legal advisors to ensure excellent claims service.
• Manage claims from initial advice to settlement, including coverage analysis, reserve evaluation, resolution strategies, and liaising with risk managers, legal counsel, and experts, especially for high-value, complex claims under supervision.
• Handle Lloyd’s Syndicate, IUA, and company claims.
• Coordinate with underwriters on policy issues, provide claims information, and participate in client meetings as needed.
• Engage with stakeholders like claims operations, underwriters, actuaries, and Internal Audit to improve claims performance.

What you need to have:

• Experience handling personal injury and/or medical malpractice claims or similar, in a lead or advisory capacity.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Sound judgment.

What we prefer you to have:

• Experience working in a syndicate, company, or broker environment.
• Knowledge of CLASS/ECF2.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Legal or professional qualification such as ACII.
