Job summary

Red Recruitment is seeking a Senior Claims Handler for a position in Bristol City Centre with occasional travel to our London office. The role involves managing diverse claims from intake to final decision, ensuring policy compliance and supporting junior staff.

You will interact with clients, intermediaries and suppliers, building trusted relationships across the firm while contributing to process improvements in a large, reputable practice.

Are you an experienced claims handler with an indemnity background looking for a new position within a legal firm?

Our client is an international law firm with offices in the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore who are committed to having trusted relationships, having an inclusive culture and being natural advocates for their clients.

They are looking for motivated, hard-working and experienced individuals to join them as a Senior Claims Handler in Bristol City Centre.

You may be required to travel to the London office at times.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Claims Handler:

• Managing a variety of claims, from the initial contact to the final decision
• Overseeing compliance with claims policies, procedures and systems
• Helping more junior staff with complex or high-value claims
• Contributing to the development of processes and leading the implementation of improvements
• Investigating evidence, making decisions and providing information to customers and other stakeholders

Key Skills and Experience of a Senior Claims Handler:

• You ideally will have a strong grounding in claims including technical knowledge and experience
• You should be able to build internal relationships and understand the expertise across the firm
• Having a commercial, committed and proactive approach is required
• You will need to be able to interact with clients, intermediaries and suppliers to build effective, collaborative working relationships based on trust
