Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in reinsurance claims within the London Market.
• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to work autonomously.
• Experience handling litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of US Legacy Liability is highly desirable.
• Collaborative, proactive and comfortable operating in a growing organisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex and high-value reinsurance claims.
• Analyse claim data, recommend reserves and negotiate settlements.
• Lead proactive claims strategies, including litigation and dispute resolution.
• Liaise with cedants, brokers, attorneys and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare clear reports for senior management.
• Conduct audits, due diligence and claims inspections as required.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Ensure regulatory, conduct and compliance standards are met.

This role focuses on the proactive handling and settlement of technically complex claims, working closely with cedants, brokers, co-reinsurers and legal advisors, while contributing insight on emerging risks and portfolio performance.
