Job summary

Farrans Construction in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil projects from start to finish. You will oversee the project team and supply chain to meet cost, time and quality goals, while actively managing on-site health and safety and risks.

You will communicate progress to senior management, build strong client relationships, and drive performance improvements with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as a Project Manager on large civil engineering projects.
• Strong planning, coordination, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control incl. forecasting and reporting.
• Technical understanding of construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project team and supply chain to deliver project to cost, time and quality standards.
• Take a proactive approach to managing Health and Safety on site and seek improvements.
• Engage with the client to understand objectives and cascade to the team.
• Maintain records on progress, Health and Safety, risks.
• Lead monthly improvement reviews with Bid and Pre-construction specialists.
