Job summary

Farrans Construction in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Quality Engineer to lead daily inspection of workmanship on our infrastructure projects. You will work alongside the site team to ensure adherence to specifications, industry standards, and budget constraints.

You will manage site engineers, drive health, safety, environmental and quality performance, and provide technical support to overcome challenges, with a focus on accurate setting out and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• About 5 years’ experience on large-scale infrastructure programmes, preferably water sector.
• Ability to plan ahead and effectively delegate tasks to the engineering team.
• CSCS / CSR card valid.
• Knowledge of latest building regulations, legislation and Health and Safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving license.
• Good communication skills (oral and written) and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage site engineers and support the Site Agent and supervisors with the day to day running of the site
• Support the site agent to deliver exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality performance
• Responsible for quality control, understanding of specifications, and DWI requirements.
• Provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered
• Take a proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
• Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work
