Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to support onshore wind, solar PV and BESS projects across environmental assessment, design and construction phases. The role operates in an Owner's Engineer/Technical Advisor capacity, providing design review, construction oversight and project support across renewable energy developments.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
Experience in the design and construction of renewable energy projects.
Basic knowledge of GIS, InfraWorks and AutoCAD.
Site-based construction experience.
Understanding of: CDM Regulations, Health & Safety requirements, Civil construction methodologies.
Reinforcement detailing and checking.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK, including extended periods on site.

Responsibilities

Carry out construction phase inspections, including foundation pre-pour and post-pour inspections.
Support project administration activities, including client meetings, progress reporting, and technical query management.
Review Balance of Plant (BoP) civil infrastructure designs, including: Access tracks, Hardstands, Foundations, Control buildings, Associated civil infrastructure.
Contribute to Health & Safety management through the review of RAMS, CEMP, TMP.
Manage project quality assurance and document control activities across multiple construction projects.
Support Project Managers with contract administration, payment assessments, and variation management.
Develop 2D and 3D renewable energy layouts using industry-standard design software.
Assist with project management activities including forecasting, invoicing, resource planning.
Support preparation of proposals, bids, and tender submissions for renewable energy developments.
Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams delivering renewable energy projects.
