Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking a Senior Civil and Structural Designer to lead the production of technical drawings and design documents for large civil and structural projects. • Diploma or degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Experience in civil and structural design on large-scale projects.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
• Effective communication in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Mentorship and leadership with junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil and structural drawings using CAD tools.
• Develop plans and layouts for foundations, frameworks, and other structural systems.
• Interpret calculations and specifications to create accurate design documents.
• Review and update designs for scope changes or client requirements.
• Identify and resolve design issues during project development.
• Check drawings for accuracy, codes compliance, and constructability.
• Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (MEP, architecture).
• Follow industry standards and legal regulations for safety and environmental impact.
• Prepare bills of quantities and assist in cost estimates for materials and labor.
• Contribute to design reviews and present solutions to stakeholders.
• Maintain document control and update project records.
• Guide and mentor junior designers in design methods.
