Job summary

Holtec is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Designer to develop 3D models and 2D drawings for the SMR-300 program, covering metallic, concrete, and modular SSCs, aligned with licensing requirements and global deployment.

You will use AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, and other tools, coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and equipment engineers, and support modular steel-concrete systems to accelerate construction and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience using AutoCAD or Tekla to create 3D models and 2D detailed drawings.
• Formal training in AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit or SolidWorks.
• Conversant in Revit for concrete structure detailing and Tekla for structural steel detailing.
• Experience in producing GA drawings and connection details for SSCs.
• Experience in working with engineers, fabricators, and constructors in developing drawings.
• Knowledge of weld symbols and structural design codes and standards.
• Capable of reading equipment layouts, piping GA and isometric drawings.
• Display creative skills and problem-solving approach for resolving design issues.
• Prior experience in nuclear industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for civil, structural, and architectural SSCs.
• Prepare GA, fabrication, erection drawings, and connection details for steel, concrete, and composite structures.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, and other design software for accurate models and docs.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and equipment engineers.
• Support modular steel-concrete structural systems for accelerated construction and cost efficiency.
• Review layouts and isometrics to ensure correct interfaces.
• Collaborate with fabrication shops, suppliers and construction teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Resolve design challenges with innovative engineering while meeting standards.
• Generate and maintain design documentation and records per QA requirements.
• Support analyses and design verification with accurate geometry and data.
• Incorporate US/UK codes and industry practices into detailing and design.
