Job summary

Gibson Recruitment Limited is seeking a Site Manager (Civil Engineer) for a permanent role in Glasgow. The successful candidate will manage groundworks and civils subcontractors on brownfield/new build projects, ensuring programme targets, quality, safety, and environmental compliance are met.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree, strong site management experience, and be capable of mentoring site staff. CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid at Work are required.

Qualifications

• Degree/HND in Civil Engineering.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety in construction.
• CSCS card.
• SMSTS.
• First Aid at Work.
• Experience communicating with engineers, clients and sub-contractors.
• Ability to mentor site staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain programme constraints and drive works to meet targets.
• Coordinate labour on site including subcontractors.
• Ensure quality of workmanship and compliance with SHEQ plans.
• Order materials and plant to fit the programme.
• Control plant hire and maintenance; ensure safety on site.
• Keep site records, time sheets and filing up to date.
• Maintain tidy site and manage cost within budget.
