Job summary

Laing O'Rourke in Suffolk is recruiting a Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of civil engineering packages on Sizewell and wider power sector projects. You will provide strong leadership to the project team, manage programmes, coordinate site operations, work with design and engineering teams, and maintain safety, quality and commercial awareness.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Temporary Works and self-delivery experience.
• Proven track record leading teams of engineers.
• 10–15 years' civil engineering (delivery) experience.
• Infrastructure project experience.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for planning, coordination and delivery of your project or package of works.
• Provide strong leadership to the project team, driving health, safety and quality culture.
• Develop and manage the construction programme, identifying milestones, risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate site operations, ensuring labour, plant, materials and subcontractors are effectively planned and managed.
• Work with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure construction requirements are considered.
• Build strong relationships with client, supply chain and wider project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to understand project performance, manage change and maintain commercial awareness.
• Manage project risks and opportunities, taking early action where issues could impact programme, cost, quality or safety.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, designs and quality requirements.
• Lead project meetings, reporting and communication, providing visibility of progress and priorities.
