Job summary

Suir Engineering in London is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our EP&R division at the Waterloo office. You will prepare and manage tenders, quantify resources, and ensure accurate net costs aligned with tender documents.

We value strong estimating skills, site-survey involvement, and proactive problem solving to support cross-border projects across Europe. This role offers growth within a dynamic, international engineering firm.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in EP&R sector with knowledge of tender requirements.
• Minimum of 3 years in an Estimator role or relevant trade qualification.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand specifications and drawings.
• Experience with estimating software and preparing tender documentation.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and workload management abilities.
• Capable of working with limited supervision and under tight deadlines.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills, and strong team collaboration.
• Proactive problem solving and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Accurately quantify material, plant and labour requirements.
• Prepare estimates using in-house estimating software.
• Compile and issue tender queries and compare quotations.
• Attend site surveys as required and contribute to risk/opportunity registers.
• Prepare tender documentation for submission and attend pre/post tender meetings.
• Be Bid Owner and company representative for the duration of the tender.
• Manage civil aspects of tenders and respond to RFIs/Clarifications.
• Perform any other duties to meet company needs.
