Job summary

WSP is hiring Senior/Principal Civil Engineers to support the AMP8 water capital investment programme in the UK. The role involves leading design teams, delivering projects within budget and schedule, and mentoring junior engineers.

You will work across wastewater treatment, water treatment, sewerage, and water network schemes, with opportunities for UK and international collaboration and professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• Proven leadership of engineering design teams.
• Strong client-facing experience and communication skills.
• Experience delivering projects to budget and schedule.
• Mentoring or coaching junior civil engineers.
• Ability to present and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for all aspects of project delivery including health & safety, technical, quality, schedule and budget.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Shape delivery and identify opportunities to present complimentary services across the wider WSP business.
• Build relationships with clients to ensure delivery and satisfaction.
• Contribute to innovative approaches, new services and digital products.
• Support Future Ready and Net Zero programmes.
• Lead recruitment and development of the civil engineering team.
