Job summary

Farrans (Construction) Limited is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee daily on‑site quality inspections and work with the site team to drive improvements, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

You will be responsible for setting out works within tolerances, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, and implementing test and inspection plans while maintaining health and safety at all times.

Qualifications

Educated to degree standard in Construction Management or equivalent.
Technical knowledge of engineering and best practices.
CSCS / CSR card required.
Full Driving License.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
Self-motivated and able to lead a team.
Excellent attention to detail and planning.

Responsibilities

Build strong working relationships with Engineering team and sub-contractors.
Assist in managing systems to review progress against time, quality, dimensions and quantity.
Assist in recording and testing workmanship and materials (drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork).
Responsible for setting out works within tolerances.
Check setting out points and benchmarks and ensure instruments are calibrated and recorded.
Ensure workforce understands setting out information for the work type.
Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control for accurate construction.
Proactively manage Health and Safety on site.
Implement test and inspection plans for all site works.
