Job summary

Arup is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer for Site Development in Newcastle. You will lead and deliver civil packages across diverse projects, including data centres, energy and water infrastructure, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive technical excellence, and contribute to bids and business development while shaping infrastructure from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Chartered status or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering drainage, utilities and infrastructure design on complex projects.
• Strong technical and design package management skills.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering packages on complex projects.
• Develop drainage, utilities and infrastructure strategies that support project objectives.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and interfaces with external stakeholders.
• Manage project programmes, resources, budgets and technical quality.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support project bids, proposals and business development activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians; act as a technical reviewer and champion best practice.
