Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its established multidisciplinary consultancy. You will take responsibility for civil design across development projects, with hands-on design, client liaison and progression opportunities.

The role offers a salary of £50,000 - £60,000, with hybrid working and support towards professional qualifications through membership fees. You\'ll work across commercial, education and healthcare sectors on major schemes and mentor

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Experience in drainage, SuDS and highways design
• Chartered or Incorporated status preferred
• Strong project management and client-facing capability

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design across development projects
• Deliver drainage, SuDS, highways and external infrastructure designs
• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
• Manage multiple projects and civil engineering design packages
• Produce and review designs using Civil 3D, PDS, Site 3D and AutoCAD
• Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary design teams
• Help develop technical standards and influence the continued growth of the civil engineering team
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers and technicians
