Job summary

Arup is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead projects from concept through construction, delivering compliant, high‑quality designs across multiple sites. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, engage stakeholders, and drive delivery on time and within budget.

Candidates should be Chartered or Incorporated Engineers or have demonstrable equivalent experience, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to design excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects or defined technical elements from concept through to construction.
• Deliver high-quality technical designs in accordance with standards, best practice, and client requirements.
• Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Support, mentor, and technically guide junior engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in design quality, processes, and innovation.
• Represent the organisation confidently in client meetings and project discussions.
