Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join our Civil Infrastructure team in Oxford or Reading, offering hybrid and flexible working. You will lead technical delivery on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the South East, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with buildings, environmental and transportation teams, and drive sustainable solutions while growing the team.

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering and consultancy civil infrastructure experience.
• Experience designing highway and drainage infrastructure across all stages.
• Strong understanding of UK standards.
• Proven track record delivering multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Collaborative, with passion for sustainable infrastructure.
• Experience using Civil 3D, InfoDrainage and utility coordination software advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery and approval of civil infrastructure projects.
• Produce and review high-quality highway and drainage infrastructure designs.
• Deliver projects from concept and planning through to detailed design and construction support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, local authorities and stakeholders.
• Liaise with utility companies, drainage authorities and highway authorities throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest technical standards.
• Help shape innovative, sustainable infrastructure that delivers positive outcomes for communities.
