Energy Jobline ATTB is seeking a civil design engineer in Northampton to work on underground drainage and drainage strategy development within a multidisciplinary team on projects up to £40m, with hybrid working.

You will oversee graduate engineers, mentor the team, and prepare drainage strategies and verification reports. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroDrainage and InfoDrainage is required, along with 5 years' civil drainage experience.

• A civil engineering qualification with at least 5 years' experience.
• Experience designing below-ground foul and surface water drainage.
• Ability to manage deadlines and organise workload.
• Oversee technical work of graduates and junior engineers.
• Write detailed drainage strategies and verification reports.
• Strong SuDS knowledge and flood risk assessment experience.
• Familiar with MicroDrainage and InfoDrainage.
• Experience with highways drainage interactions.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.
• Competent in AutoCAD drawings.

Responsabilidades

Our client is a multidisciplinary design consultancy and are hiring within their Northampton office.

They are UK based with 2 offices in the UK and undertake civil design on a wide variety of civil and structural engineering projects within the commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors on projects up to 40 million in value.

Established nearly 40 years ago, they are experts in the field providing civil and structural engineering and surveying consultancy services throughout the UK.

What you need to succeed

• Have a suitable civil engineering qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Have experience in the design of below ground foul and surface water drainage systems
• Be capable of managing deadlines and organising your own work
• Be capable of overseeing the technical work undertaken by graduate and project civil engineers and assist in their training
• Use your initiative and work well as part of a team
• Be able to write full detailed drainage strategies and verification reports
• Have an in-depth knowledge of SuDS and xbpsjku flood risk assessments
• Be familiar with the MicroDrainage and/or the InfoDrainage software packages
• Ideally have knowledge of 3D civil design software
• Be familiar with highways design and how it interacts with drainage design
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport
• Be competent in producing drawings in AutoCAD
• Be capable of liaising confidently with local authority planning departments and lead local flood authorities
