Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (Design) to lead drawings, calculations and design documents for a multi-disciplinary civil and structural design consultant. The role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to progress toward Principal or Associate while supporting chartership.

You will work on projects across logistics, development infrastructure and residential sectors, visit sites rarely, liaise with clients, and manage resources.

Qualifications

• MEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Experience with civil/structural design projects.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Causeway Flow or Civil 3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, calculations, reports and design documents.
• Conduct site visits to assess constraints and construction process.
• Manage projects and liaise with clients and engineers.

Are you a Civil Engineer from any industry looking to join a multi-disciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering design consultant offering real pathways for progression to Principal or Associate roles, support through chartership and hybrid working?

This Civil and Structural design specialist work across a range of sectors including Logistics & Manufacturing, Development Infrastructure and Residential. Working with clients such as Savills, CBRE and Mclaren, this design expert has seen continued growth and are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their new office.

In this role you will be mainly based at the office with rare nationwide site visits. You will be managing projects, liaising with clients and other departments and taking full technical ownership of your drawings, calculations and design documents. You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing project briefs and fee proposals to allocate resources and project delivery.

This role would suit Senior Civil Engineer looking to join an established Civil and Structural design company with ICE approved development schemes and a vast array of projects.

The Role:

• Preparing drawings, calculations, reports and design documents
• Completing site visits to review project constraints and the construction process
• Using software such as AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D
• Managing projects and liaising with clients and coordinating engineers and technicians.

Monday - Friday (Flexible 7.5hr shifts) and 1 day a week from home

The Person:

• Civil Engineer with design software experience
• MEng in Civil Engineering
• Willing to commute to Birmingham
