Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is working with a Birmingham-based civil and structural consultancy to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer (Civil Infrastructure). The role offers hybrid working, a salary of £50,000–£60,000, private medical insurance, specialist training and CPD sessions, plus progression and chartership support.

You will lead projects, manage client relationships and take ownership of drawings, calculations and design documents, with occasional nationwide site visits.

Qualifications

• MEng in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience as Civil Engineer with design software.
• Willing to commute to Birmingham.

Are you a Senior Civil Engineer looking to take the next step towards Principal or Associate level looking to join a respected multi-disciplinary Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy where you'll have the autonomy to lead projects, develop client relationships and shape your long-term career?

This Civil and Structural design specialist work across a range of sectors including Logistics & Manufacturing, Development Infrastructure and Residential. Working with clients such as Savills, CBRE and Mclaren, this design expert has seen continued growth and are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their new office.

In this role you will be mainly based at the office with rare nationwide site visits. You will be managing projects, liaising with clients and other departments and taking full technical ownership of your drawings, calculations and design documents. You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing project briefs and fee proposals to allocate resources and project delivery.

This role would suit Senior Civil Engineer looking to join an established Civil and Structural design company with ICE approved development schemes and a vast array of projects.

The Role:

• Preparing drawings, calculations, reports and design documents
• Completing site visits to review project constraints and the construction process
• Using software such as AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D
• Managing projects and liaising with clients and coordinating engineers and technicians.
• Monday - Friday (Flexible 7.5hr shifts) and 1 day a week from home

The Person:

• Civil Engineer with design software experience
• MEng in Civil Engineering
• Willing to commute to Birmingham
