Transport Scotland is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (Contracts Adviser) to support procurement and contract management for critical national infrastructure projects, including the A9 Dualling programme and other major transport schemes.

You will provide expert procurement and contract advice, lead in template development, and work with consultants and contractors to ensure value for money and timely delivery.

Formación

• Experience in contract and commercial procurement for major transport projects.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contract forms and public procurement legislation.
• Ability to lead technical teams and work with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Provide contractual, commercial and procurement advice for Infrastructure Projects and wider Agency teams, ensuring value for money and compliance with legislation.
• Support procurements and manage key professional services and supplies per procurement plans.
• Develop and maintain procurement templates and contract documents (NEC4 and bespoke forms).
• Produce template schedules for the full procurement process, including letters and notices, with guidance notes.
• Advise on insurance, variations, liquidated damages, GDPR, BIM, IP rights, and bonds; support disputes and claims.
