Job description

Senior Civil Engineer - Active Travel

Location: Glasgow

First People Solutions is looking to speak with Civil Engineers with a background in Active Travel or Highways design in Glasgow who are open to new opportunities. We are working with a leading consulting engineer, recognised for sustainable engineering design and commitment to creating a positive impact on the environment.

In this role, you'll be leading and delivering on projects focused on urban infrastructure, including pedestrian walkways, bus lanes, urban roads, cycle lanes, sustainable drainage, and many more. You'll be working alongside like-minded people who want to make a difference.

To be considered, you must have:

1. Chartered (CEng) status
2. Degree in Civil Engineering
3. 4 to 8 years of experience working in active travel or highways for a design engineering consultancy
4. Strong design skills (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
5. Able to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
6. Able to lead and influence a team of Technicians/Engineers
