Senior Civil Engineer

Southampton

£40,000 - £60,000

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded, multi-discipline engineering and planning consultancy as a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer based in their new Southampton office.

You will be a key member of the Infrastructure team, supported by the in-house Director, and will also support other teams across the country.

The role:

You will serve as the main point of contact for clients and employees regarding infrastructure design. Responsibilities include managing the production of engineering designs for planning applications, detailed designs, and construction of drainage, highways, SuDS, and building drainage for major infrastructure and various developments including residential, retail, industrial, and commercial projects.

You will have the opportunity to grow the team, develop engineers, technicians, and apprentices.

What we're looking for:

- Experience in consultancy/private sector development, particularly with residential development projects.
- Ideally, experience with highways drainage.
- Personable, a strong team player with a people-oriented approach.
- Confidence in introducing new ideas into the practice.
- Experience in producing technical drawings for tender and construction for infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of drainage strategies and flood risk assessments.
