Strata Consulting Limited in Nottingham is seeking a Contract Senior Civil Design Engineer to deliver civil infrastructure and drainage design for residential and mixed-use developments. This hands-on role covers feasibility to detailed design and approvals within a quality consultancy.

You will design drainage using MicroDrainage and InfoDrainage, produce highways and earthworks in Civil 3D, and prepare drawings for S104, S38 and S278 approvals.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering residential infrastructure and drainage.
• Proficiency in MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage or similar.
• Solid understanding of UK design standards.

• Design foul and surface water systems using MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage.
• Produce highways, levels, earthworks and estate road designs using Civil 3D.

• Manage workload independently across live schemes.

Contract Senior Civil Design Engineer
Infrastructure & Drainage
Rate: £40–£45 per hour – Outside IR35
Contract: Initial 6 months (strong likelihood of extension)
Location: Hybrid working

An award-winning multi disciplinary design consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to support a strong pipeline of residential and mixed-use infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who can take schemes from feasibility through to detailed design and technical approvals, working within a high-quality consultancy environment known for design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver civil infrastructure and drainage design for residential & mixed-use developments
• Design foul and surface water systems using MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage
• Produce highways, levels, earthworks and estate road designs using Civil 3D
• Prepare drawings, calculations and reports for S104, S38 and S278 approvals
• Liaise with local authorities, statutory undertakers and internal project teams
• Manage workload independently across live schemes

About You

• Strong UK consultancy background in civil engineering design
• Proven experience delivering residential infrastructure & drainage projects
• Confidentuser in either Microdrainage/Causeway Flow/Site 3D
• Solid understanding of UK design standards and adoption processes
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a contract role
