Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Leeds Infrastructure team. You will lead the design and delivery of development infrastructure, including drainage, SuDS, highways and external works, across feasibility to construction stages.

You will mentor Graduate and Junior Engineers, coordinate with clients, local authorities and water companies, and contribute to project management, reporting and technical excellence in a collaborative, hybrid-working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering development infrastructure projects within a UK consultancy.
• Strong technical background in drainage design, SuDS, highways and external works.
• Experience with Section Agreements (S104, S106, S38, S278) advantageous.

Senior Civil Engineer

Leeds - Hybrid Working

An established, multi-disciplinary Consultancy with an outstanding reputation across the UK is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure team in Leeds.

With a strong pipeline of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering complex development infrastructure projects from planning through to construction. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of drainage, highways and development infrastructure schemes. Working across a varied portfolio of projects, you will lead the design of drainage strategies, SuDS, highways, levels, earthworks and external works, whilst managing projects through feasibility, planning, detailed design and construction stages.

You will be responsible for producing and reviewing technical designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, undertaking drainage modelling using MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage, and coordinating with clients, local authorities, LLFAs, water companies and the Environment Agency. The role will also involve mentoring Graduate and Junior Engineers, alongside working closely with internal teams across transport planning, structural and environmental disciplines.

To be considered, you should have experience delivering development infrastructure projects within a UK Consultancy environment and possess a strong technical background in drainage design, SuDS, highways and external works. Experience of Section Agreements including S104, S106, S38 and S278 would be advantageous, alongside strong project management and client-facing skills. Candidates working towards or already holding ICE Chartership (IEng or CEng) are encouraged to apply.
