About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to take technical responsibility for a major £10 million+ civil engineering project in Avonmouth. In this role, you’ll supervise 2–4 section engineers and drive excellence across safety, quality, design, and construction methods. Working for one of the UK's largest Construction businesses who operate across many different sectors this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well respected and established multi national tier 1 contractor.

Reporting to: Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and approve method statements and risk assessments, ensuring safety for the public and workforce.
• Manage quality control, inspections, and testing in line with contract requirements.
• Lead dimensional control, ensuring accuracy in construction.
• Oversee the design process, manage external design teams, and approve drawings.
• Coordinate temporary works and act as Temporary Works Coordinator/Inspector.
• Continuously improve construction methods, software, and safety practices.
• Record and manage client changes and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Provide technical support, mentoring, and leadership to engineering teams.
