Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead civil design across major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role is fully remote in the UK under a long-term contract, with responsibilities spanning design development, calculations, and documentation to meet client and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure buildable, cost-efficient solutions while managing risk and project delivery within

Qualifications

• Experience in civil design for water and wastewater facilities.
• Experience producing civil calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to deliver safe, sustainable, buildable solutions with whole-life costs.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers in civil projects.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership preferred.
• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design tasks and packages to technical standards, budgets and programmes.
• Develop civil designs, calculations, layouts, specs and documentation for water/wastewater projects.
• Produce cost-effective, buildable civil solutions considering safety and whole-life costs.
• Review civil design outputs for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate design activities with Process, Mechanical, EICA, Structural, Digital and Commissioning teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and build client relationships.
