Job summary

Alexander Associates in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead civil design on major water and wastewater projects. The role is a fully remote UK contract delivering robust, buildable civil solutions.

You will develop designs, calculations and technical documentation, coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Structural and Digital teams, and mentor junior engineers to ensure safety and quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in civil engineering design within water & wastewater utilities or similarly regulated environments.
• Ability to develop practical, buildable civil solutions with safety and whole-life cost in mind.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and delivering projects to programme and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design tasks and packages to standards, budgets and programmes.
• Develop designs, calculations, layouts, specifications and technical documentation for water and wastewater projects.
• Produce cost-effective civil solutions considering constructability, safety and life-cycle costs.
• Review civil design outputs for quality and compliance within your area of authority.
• Coordinate civil design with Process, Mechanical, EICA, Structural, Digital and Commissioning teams.
