Job description

Brownlee Cale are working with a Civil Engineering firm who are hiring Senior Civil Engineers in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and analysis of civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
2. Manage and oversee the development of detailed design solutions, calculations, and reports.
3. Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
4. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
5. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring the development of their skills and capabilities.
6. Attend project meetings, providing expert advice and recommendations to the project team and clients.
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural engineering designs into larger project frameworks.
8. Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects, providing technical expertise and input.
9. Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained throughout all stages of project delivery.

Skills & Experience:

1. A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng, BEng, or equivalent).
2. Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it (e.g., through the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers).
3. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
