Job summary

Binnies is seeking a Senior CAD/BIM Lead – Civil 3D SME to provide technical leadership and hands-on support across major water, wastewater and environmental projects. You will develop and enforce Civil 3D standards, mentor teams and drive digital delivery improvements in a hybrid UK environment.

You’ll be the trusted SME, coordinating with CAD/BIM teams, project managers and clients to solve complex challenges, shape standards and build capability across the wider team.

Qualifications

• Significant CAD/BIM delivery on multidisciplinary projects with Civil 3D expertise.
• Ability to develop and implement Civil 3D standards, templates and workflows.
• Strong knowledge of surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors and pipe networks.
• Experience providing technical leadership, guidance or mentoring.
• Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Relevant technical qualification such as HNC/HND or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical point of contact and SME for Autodesk Civil 3D and related workflows.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance across major projects and programmes.
• Develop and improve Civil 3D standards, templates, styles and workflows.
• Support model coordination, BIM delivery and information management.
• Coach and mentor CAD/BIM Leads, technicians and specialists.
• Shape the future direction of the CAD/BIM function with the Head of CAD/BIM.
• Engage with clients, contractors, consultants and software vendors as appropriate.
