Job summary

Menlo Security in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Chromium engineering team. You will leverage robust C++ skills across the browser stack and work on MCP servers and AI-driven features within a security-focused platform.

You'll collaborate with product, security, and AI teams, deploy cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) with Kubernetes and Terraform, and apply AI-assisted development tools to move quickly without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ engineering skills.
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals and HTTP security.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Chromium-based browser components in C++ across layers (content, browser, core, compositor, Skia, networking).
• Apply strong networking fundamentals and HTTP security to harden browser isolation and network-facing infrastructure.
• Partner with the MARS team to build and integrate AI agent capabilities and MCP servers.
• Use Python or Rust to build supporting tooling and prototypes alongside core C++ work.
• Deploy and operate cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Debug and optimize performance-critical, high-scale systems across the browser and supporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, security, and AI engineering teams to ship capabilities end-to-end.
• Apply AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and code reviews.
