Job summary

Catering in Northampton is seeking a Senior CHP Field Service Engineer to manage a five-site portfolio of Jenbacher, MWM and Scania gas engines. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and controls faults, plan your own servicing schedule, and use remote monitoring to decide when a site visit is needed.

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, lead safety decisions, and benefit from a competitive package, including a company vehicle and benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on gas-engine maintenance experience.
• Strong fault-finding across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Experience in CHP, landfill gas, anaerobic digestion or related gas-engine environments.

Responsibilities

• Own a five-site portfolio of gas engines (Jenbacher, MWM, Scania) and diagnose faults.
• Plan servicing, site visits, and follow-ups; use remote monitoring to decide on-site visits.
• Decide when to call a contractor or stop work on safety grounds; ensure safety.
