Those huge small victories

Working in our Children’s Homes means being a part of a young person’s day-to-day life. This involves supporting them through their highest highs and lowest lows. Our shift leaders help our young people regain their childhood and create pathways to become well-rounded adults – an incredibly rewarding role. Challenges will arise, but so will moments that feel like huge small victories!

Our homes accommodate young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, aiming to create the best possible outcomes. Our shift leaders are fulfilled by making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, celebrating these little successes.

Get out what you put in

You’ll be involved in caring for our young people daily, ensuring smooth operations and creating lasting memories. As a shift leader, you will support the staff team, ensure the home operates to high standards, and be prepared to deputise for the Team Leaders. We seek someone who can relate to and build relationships with our young people. Compassionate, emotionally resilient, and supportive, you’ll also provide leadership that inspires your colleagues.

What we do for you

We recognize your potential and reward your hard work with an excellent salary and benefits package. With us, you’ll make a genuine difference in young lives, plus enjoy:

  • Salary: Base salary of £30,030 - £34,302

  • Bonuses: Up to 4 sleep-ins per month paid at £80 per sleep (approx. £3,840 per year) and a £1,400 Attendance Allowance, assuming good attendance

  • Training: A full 4-week induction on our Care Academy

  • Holiday: 7 weeks’ holiday

  • Progression: Opportunities for promotion from within and participation in our ‘Aspire’ future managers programme

  • Flexible benefits: Adjust your holiday allowance, pension, and life insurance – see our benefits here

  • Wellbeing: Access to wellbeing tools and employee assistance

  • Medical cover: Reimbursements for opticians, dentists, and discounts

  • Meals provided during shifts

  • Facilities: Modern, well-equipped working environments – see our homes here

  • Referral bonus: £1,000 for each friend you refer
