I have a FANTASTIC opportunity for a qualified Children's Support Worker to join a STUNNING residential children's home in Bridgend as a Senior Children's Support Worker. You'll be supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 years old with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, committed and motivated individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of young people; to enable them to develop socially, emotionally and behaviourally in a setting where they feel safe and cared for.

• Job Title: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
• Location: Bridgend
• Contract: Full-time - Permanent
• Shift pattern: 2 on 4 off

**Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full driver's licence**

• Deal with challenging behaviours appropriately
• Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
• Support the independence and well-being of children and young people
• Maintain a safe environment and up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
• Support behaviour management safely and sympathetically
• Develop good relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals

Requirements:

• Experience as a Children's Support Worker or with Young People is ESSENTIAL
• Experience within healthcare or social care settings is ESSENTIAL
