Job summary

Witherslack Group is recruiting a Shift Leader in Wakefield to support our Children’s Homes. You’ll lead a staff team, uphold high standards, and deputise for Team Leaders as required, while building trusted relationships with young people.

The role offers induction through the Care Academy, training, and opportunities for career progression within a values-driven environment. A full UK licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a can-do attitude and be a team player.
• Be honest, empathetic and emotionally resilient.
• Own a full UK driving licence (held 12+ months).
• If you don’t have Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), the employer will fund your study.

Responsibilities

• As a shift leader you will support the staff team and ensure the home operates to high standards.
• You may deputise for the Team Leaders when needed.
• You will build relationships with young people and provide leadership to colleagues.
