Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker (Child Protection) in Wrexham, UK. The role involves managing caseloads, high-risk cases, safeguarding, and producing court reports where required.

You will work within Social Care/Education & Early Intervention teams to design care and support plans and ensure best outcomes for children and at-risk adults. The position requires substantial safeguarding knowledge, professional supervision, and the ability to adapt practice

Qualifications

• Social Work Degree or Equivalent Qualification.
• Registration with Social Care Wales.
• Two Specialist Awards (or equivalent) with timeframe commitment.
• Experience in safeguarding and court reporting.

Responsibilities

• Undertake outcome-focused assessments and develop care and support plans.
• Lead professional social work practice with adults/children and families.
• Chair care and support, safeguarding or court-related meetings when required.
• Mentor students and supervise social workers in training.
• Maintain accurate case notes and ensure timely records.

Education

Social Work Degree or Equivalent Qualification

Masters Social Work Degree or equivalent
