Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join our social care team. You will be a qualified social worker with expertise in child protection, able to provide expert advice and consultation to practitioners across the multi-agency partnership.

Based at Cable Plaza, Waterfront West, Brierley Hill, Dudley, you will work with Strategy Meetings, section 47 enquiries and child protection plans, aiming to achieve real and sustainable change for children,

Qualifications

• Requires a qualified social worker with expertise in child protection.
• Experience in multi-agency safeguarding and restorative practice is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and consultation to practitioners across the multi-agency partnership.
• Support families when significant harm has been identified.
• Involvement with Strategy Meetings, section 47 enquiries, and children on child protection plans.
• Encourage family group decision making and challenge across the multi-agency group.
