Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking an Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team supporting children and families in need in Birmingham. You will assess needs, develop intervention plans and ensure high-quality social work services are delivered.

Qualifications

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, MA in Social Work).
• Current registration with the relevant social work regulatory body.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in children's social work.
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and best practices in social work.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of children and families.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
• Providing expert guidance and support to junior social workers and students, fostering their professional development.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
• Engaging with community resources and services to enhance support for children and families.
