Job summary

Caritas Recruitment in Barnsley is seeking an Advanced Practitioner - Assessment Duty (CIN) within the Qualified Social Work field. You will assess and manage cases to prioritise children's needs and ensure their voices are heard.

Key duties include conducting comprehensive child and family assessments, developing care plans with families and professionals, guiding staff and students, documenting interventions, and taking part in multi-agency meetings to coordinate support.

Qualifications

• A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience in child protection and assessment duties.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
• Providing expert guidance and support to social work staff and students.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions.
• Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure coordinated support for children and families.
