Job summary

Eleven Recruitment is seeking a Senior Carbon Materials Specialist to join an innovative technology business. This hands-on R&D role focuses on developing, characterising and scaling advanced carbon materials for high-value applications.

You will lead efforts to produce and upgrade materials, investigate activation and purification routes, and evaluate applications while collaborating with chemistry and technical teams to enable scale-up and safe lab practices.

Qualifications

• PhD or advanced degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
• 5+ years' post-university research experience in carbon materials or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with carbon-material characterisation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently within a small, multidisciplinary team.
