We arecurrently recruiting for a talented and motivated Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef to join the culinary team at our Award winning 2 Rosette Gastro pub. We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and ambitious Junior Sous or Senior CDP who is ready to step up and gain experience in all areas of the kitchen working closely with our Head chef & Senior sous chef.

In joining our team, your role will include working in all sections of the kitchen as well as contributing to the menu using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create memorable dishes for our guests. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, innovative and career-minded chef who would like to be part of something special. Full time and live in available.

Location: The Acorn Inn, Dorset

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Pattern : Shift work (5 days on, 2 days off)

Salary: Up to 34,000 annully including service

Key Responsibilities as a Junior Sous Chef :

  • Be able to assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that all recipes and product yields are accurately costed and reviewed regularly.
  • Ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimising waste.
  • Training junior members of staff and that chefs are always in clean, tidy uniforms and are always presentable to be in guest view.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • General section organisation and section ordering.
