Job summary

The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie for the Jigger Inn team. You will craft exquisite dishes from locally sourced Scottish produce and manage a dedicated section while receiving development opportunities within a multi-outlet kitchen.

You will support the Junior Sous Chef, maintain standards, and ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas. The role requires leadership, menu development, and cost awareness to uphold our 5-star service.

Qualifications

• SVQ-based qualification required or equivalent.
• Demonstrate leadership in your team and guide the kitchen in the absence of the Sous chef.
• Develop daily specials to support the hotel food program.
• Understand and implement checklists to manage production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all foods for service to high culinary standards.
• Maintain quality and consistency across courses.
• Train and delegate tasks to junior team members.
• Rotate stocks and conduct monthly inventory.
• Ensure food safety and proper storage according to policy.
