Job summary

NHS Western Isles is seeking an experienced Senior Charge Nurse to lead the Uist Community Nursing Team, delivering clinical and professional leadership.

The post is Band 7, 36 hours per week, permanent, with relocation expenses for a permanent post and secondments for 12 months would be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, professional leadership and operational management to the Uist Community Nursing Team.
• Lead a team of District Nurses, Staff nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
• Ensure delivery of effective and appropriate care to patients at home, in care homes and CTAC centres.
• Collaborate with the wider nursing and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.

Band 7 £52,845 - £61,466 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 per annum

36 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated and dynamic person to work within NHS Western Isles as a Community Senior Charge Nurse to lead the Uist Community Nursing Team.

The successful applicant will provide overall clinical, professional leadership and operational management to a team comprised of District Nurses, Staff nurses and Healthcare Assistants.

The post holder will be a clinically visible leader who works closely with the wider nursing and multidisciplinary team to ensure that the delivery of effective and appropriate care is provided to the population within their geographical area including care of patients at home, care homes and CTAC centres.
