Job summary

Balivanich Clinic in the Western Isles is seeking a Community Nurse (Band 5) to join the Uist Community Nursing team, providing care to people in their own homes. The post is 22 hours per week and permanent, with pro rata salary and an on-call/ weekend rota.

Applicants should have experience in community nursing, be capable of working autonomously and as part of a team, hold a full UK driving licence, and be committed to delivering prevention and self-management support to help people live

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Uist Community Nursing team which covers the Isles of Uist in the Western Isles. The post holder will be a member of a team of Community Nurses providing nursing care to people in their own homes.

Applicants must have some experience of working within a community nurse setting. This post would be an ideal opportunity for someone to develop their nursing skills and knowledge within a community setting.

The role encompasses a focus on prevention, anticipation and supported self-management to enable everyone to live longer, healthier lives at home or in a homely setting. The post holder will be required to participate in working an on-call and a weekend service on a rota basis. A flexible working approach is required. You will be a car owner/driver with a full UK driving licence.

You will need the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team along with good communication skills.
