Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Lawson Memorial Hospital in Sutherland.

As the Senior Charge Nurse for the hospital, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and day to day management of the hospital and the nursing team. Your main focus will be:

• Ensuring the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice
• Enhancing our patients’ experience of care
• Ensuring the health and safety of staff, patients, visitors and contractors
• Ensuring effective workforce planning within the negotiated budget
• Delivering care within the agreed budget
• Managing and developing the performance of the team

• Contributing to the delivery of the organisation’s objectives

The Lawson Memorial Hospital is situated in the heart of Sutherland; you are encouraged to apply to join our Sutherland District Management Team who are fully committed to delivering high quality, evidence-based and person-centred care for our patients, many of whom have complex care needs.
