Job summary

Project Freelance is seeking a Senior Change and Communications Manager (SC Cleared) for a government transformation programme. You will translate complex IT roadmaps into clear business language and deliver strategic updates to senior leadership, creating engaging presentations and videos to communicate milestones.

The role focuses on driving user adoption and alignment across stakeholder groups, with a 3–6 month contract and remote from home.

Qualifications

• Proven track record working within the UK Civil Service or Gov.uk transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of technology concepts, allowing you to confidently grasp technical updates from delivery teams.
• Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to influence and brief Director and C-suite level leadership.
• Hands-on experience creating high-quality, professional videos and presentations.

Senior Change and Communications Manager - SC Cleared

We are looking for a highly experience Senior Change and Communications Manager for a government customer's transformation programme.

It requires candidates able to communicate and provide updates to C level leadership and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate complex IT and digital transformation roadmaps into clear, jargon-free business language.
• Deliver crisp, strategic updates on "what is being done" to senior stakeholders and leaders.
• Design and produce engaging presentations, executive briefings, and videos to communicate programme milestones.
• Manage end-to-end communication plans to drive user adoption and alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.

The contract is for 3 to 6 months initially and based from home. It is inside IR35.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take a minimum 10 weeks.
